It’s time to melt melodic death metal and trance together! RAGE OF LIGHT, the rising stars from Switzerland around charismatic lead singer Melissa Bonny prove that these styles can build a very strong symbiosis. The result is a musical monster!
Today, RAGE OF LIGHT unleashes the official video for their first single “Fallen”, taken from the new album Imploder! Their mix of sharp riffs, electronic beats, melody and screaming violence gets perfectly illustrated by the art of producer and bandfounder Jonathan Pellet, filmed by Roger Simon and Sylvain Pellet.
RAGE OF LIGHT on the new video:
We are thrilled to share the first single of our album Imploder. This song reflects the evolution of the band and its music, and gives a first taste of the universe in which the album will guide the listeners.
On March 29th, RAGE OF LIGHT will release their debut album Imploder on Napalm Records.

The world’s fastest growing independent record label, Golden Robot Records, continues it’s upward trajectory into 2019.  Starting the year off with a bang, the label is honored to welcome to the family, the guitar icon Gilby Clarke!

Gilby recently signed a GLOBAL deal with Golden Robot Records which will see a brand new solo album – The Gospel Truth – released this year. This will be Gilby’s first in over 15 years!

Mark Alexander-Erber, Golden Robot Entertainment Group Founder and President: says of signing Clarke; ‘I couldn’t be happier to sign such an incredible artist like Gilby Clarke to our GRR international roster. He is totally authentic through and through. He brings such a wealth of experience to his songwriting, playing and producing and I know the world is ready for his new solo album which is a long time coming. It is an honour to release this record.

Clarke explains his excitement about the signing  “I am so happy to be a part of the Golden Robot family for my new solo record. I use the word family because I feel like I found a home. We share the same passion for Rock n Roll! Rock N Roll is alive n’ well & together we will turn it up loud!”

Best known for his tenure in the mighty Guns N Roses, Gilby has a long and storied career of which, GNR is only a part. Arriving in Hollywood as a 17 year old punk from Cleveland, Gilby soon found himself as a ghost writer and session player for former Runaway’s manager, Kim Fowleywho then urged him to join the band, Candy.  Gilby proved a little too rough and ready for the polished power-poppers and found himself a home both with hard-rockers Kill For Thrills and as a songwriter for Virgin Records.

Then a late night call from Slash changed everything… Gilby joined Guns N Roses in late 1991, replacing the recently departed Izzy Stradlin. For the next 3 years, Gilby strapped in for the wildest ride of his life, playing stadiums the world over and appearing on Guns N Roses, Spaghetti Incident, Live Era ’88-’91 and The Greatest Hits albums.

After GNR’s mid 90’s implosion, Gilby, armed only with his Les Paul, went back to Virgin and launched his solo career. Receiving critical acclaim for his albums Pawnshop Guitars, The Hangover, Rubber, 99 Live and Swag, he began the new millennium touring with the likes of Nancy Sinatra, Heart, The MC5 and with his old band mate in Slash’s Snakepit.

In 2006, Gilby joined forces with Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee and former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted to form Rock Star Supernova. The band hosted the TV show of the same name in search of a singer and toured the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in early 2007.

In 2012 Gilby reunited with his former GNR bandmates and performed with them as they were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.  That same year Gilby joined Kings of Chaos with ex GNR members Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan and an all-star rotating roster of icons that featured Steven Tyler, Joe Elliot, Nikki Sixx, Glen Hughes and many more.

Now in 2019, Gilby is preparing to unleash his first new solo music in nearly two decades! An old school mash-up of Keef, Johnny Thunders, and B.B. King, Gilby’s new album is full of fist-pumping rock ’n’ roll songs with fat choruses, bluesy licks and trademark solos! It’s Classic rock, a new version of what Gilby likes to do and that’s… LOUD GUITARS!

The album features drumming from legendary John Mellencamp and Chickenfoot sticksman Kenny Aronoff and Stephen Perkins from Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyro & Infectious Grooves.

The Gospel Truth will be released in the first half of 2019. More details coming very soon!

Gilby joins fellow GNR band mate, Dizzy Reed who was one of the first international signings to Golden Robot Records and released his solo album, Rock N Roll Ain’t Easy to critical praise in early 2018.

Gilby Clarke is now part of an international roster that includes such iconic artists as, Guns ’N’ Roses keyboardist Dizzy ReedPuddle Of MuddLittle CaesarRaveneyeThe Lazys and the all star A New Revenge which features Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Keri Kelli, Rudy Sarzo and James Kottak

Plus, Golden Robot Records boasts an incredible line up of Aussie acts, led by Rose TattooThe SuperjesusMisex and featuring Steve KilbeyPalace Of The KingJailbirdsFyre ByrdThe KidsDestrendsFlickertail and many more.  Watch out for more incredible names who will be joining GRR’s international roster in the near future!

Golden Robot Records now own four record labels and have teams in every major market in the world: Sydney, Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Tokyo and Auckland.  With globally experienced music industry veterans heading up key roles in A&R, Management, Marketing and Publicity, Golden Robot Records are able to give their roster maximum exposure and support.

Welcome to Kehoe, it’s -10 degrees and counting at this glitzy ski resort in the Rocky Mountains. The local police aren’t used to much action until the son of unassuming town snowplough driver, Nels Coxman (Liam Neeson – Schindler’s List, The Grey), is murdered at the order of Viking (Tom Bateman – Murder On The Orient Express, Da Vinci’s Demons), a flamboyant drug lord. Fueled by rage and armed with heavy machinery, Nels sets out to dismantle the cartel one man at a time, but his understanding of murder comes mainly from what he read in a crime novel. As the bodies pile up, his actions ignite a turf war between Viking and his long-standing rival White Bull (Tom Jackson – Star Trek: The Next Generation, Skinwalkers), a soulful Native-American mafia boss, that will quickly escalate and turn the small town’s bright white slopes blood-red. In-Cinemas February 7.

Cold Pursuit will be released in Australian cinemas through Studio Canal on the 7th February 2019.

Oscar® nominee and Emmy®, Golden Globe®, Screen Actors Guild® and Tony® Award winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) has signed on to star and executive produce the new SHOWTIME event series YOUR HONOR which will stream exclusively on Stan in Australia. The series is a legal thriller that rips through all strata of New Orleans society. Cranston will star as a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices. The 10-episode event series will be executive produced by Emmy nominees Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife). Peter Moffat – whose Criminal Justice served as the basis for The Night Of – serves as showrunner, executive producer and will write multiple episodes, including the first episode. YOUR HONOR will go into production later this year in New Orleans. The announcement was made by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour.

“Peter, Michelle and Robert have crafted an original thriller with gut-wrenching suspense, raw emotion and moral complexity,” Levine said. “And we are simply ecstatic that Bryan Cranston, one of the planet’s finest actors, shares our enthusiasm and has agreed to play the lead. I can’t wait to shoot YOUR HONOR and show it to the world!”

In addition to four Emmys, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild  award recognition for Breaking Bad, Cranston has also earned Academy Award® and BAFTA nominations as lead actor for Trumbo. He received a Screen Actors Guild Award and Emmy and Golden Globe nominations as actor in a limited series for All the Way – itself adapted from the Broadway production that gave Cranston a Tony Award. In 2018, Cranston won the Lawrence Olivier Award for his stage performance in Network in London, whose current run on Broadway has been extended into April.

Earlier in his career, Cranston received three Emmy nominations as best supporting actor in a comedy series and a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in Malcolm in the Middle. His numerous other credits include Sneaky Pete (which he co-created and executive produced) and Argo, as well as an Emmy-nominated guest performance on Curb Your Enthusiasm, and prominent guest appearances on such series as Seinfeld. Cranston also has three Directors Guild nominations, including the rare feat of nominations in the same year for directing a drama (Breaking Bad) and a comedy (Modern Family). He shared in three Producers Guild awards with the team from Breaking Bad.

YOUR HONOR, produced by CBS Television Studios in association with King Size Productions, is being adapted from the Israeli series Kvodo, created byRon Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach, produced by Ram Landes and airing on the country’s Yes TV. Liz Glotzer (The Good Fight, Castle Rock, The Shawshank Redemption), Alon Aranya and Rob Golenberg (Hostages, Betrayal) of Scripted World and James Degus will also serve as executive producers.

Marvel have just released a brand new clip from their new epic blockbuster – Captain Marvel. Directed by Anna Boden (Sugar, It’s Kind Of A Funny Story) and Ryan Fleck (Half Nelson, Gowanus Brooklyn) and starring Brie Larson (Room, Kong: Skull Island), Gemma Chan (Mary Queen Of Scots, Humans) and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight) the film hits cinemas on the 8th March.

Following two sold out screenings at Monster Fest in Melbourne last November, where it took out the ‘Golden Monster’ for Best Film, we are pleased to present in association with Umbrella Films ONE NIGHT ONLY screenings of LORDS OF CHAOS on Friday February 22nd in cinemas across Australia & New Zealand.

Set in the world of Norwegian black metal, and combining an 80s/90s period setting, the blackest of black humour and brutally visceral scenes of violence, LORDS OF CHOAS is ‘metal’ in every sense of the word – and an experience you’re sure to never forget. The only thing crazier than the film itself is the fact it’s based on the very real – and very violent – actions of an infamous Norwegian black metal crew. Drawing from his experience as the drummer in a black metal band, director Jonas Åkerlund brings a level of authenticity to the screen rarely seen along with the unmistakable style that made his music video work so memorable.

Sir Elton John, recently crowned by Billboard as the most successful performing male solo artist of all time, today reveals details of the epic 15-date Australian and 3-date New Zealand leg of his global Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Between December 2019 and February 2020, Elton John will traverse Australia and New Zealand, in what will be the legendary music icon’s most extensive tour of the region to date. The tour will kick off with record breaking back-to-back appearances at Perth’s HBF Park (formerly nib Stadium) on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 2019, a huge 48 years on from his first ever Australian show, which took place at Perth’s Subiaco Oval on 17th October, 1971.

Elton will deliver his famed songbook to spellbound audiences, on his very last tour, playing across a mammoth run that includes Capital City concerts, along with stops at some of Australia’s finest outdoor venues from the Hunter Valley’s Hope Estate to Rutherglen’s All Saints EstateRochford Wines in the Yarra Valley,Queensland’s Sirromet WinesVictoria’s Hanging Rock and Bathurst’s Carrington Park, with additional dates, including North QLD, to be announced later in 2019.

“Elton’s continuing love affair with Australia knows no bounds, proven by this farewell tour, and the breadth and depth of the itinerary, showing his commitment to his many Australian fans”, said promoter Michael Chugg“On his very last tour, he wanted to return to some of his favourite cities, while also playing for fans in a couple of never-before-visited locations.”

Beginning in Pennsylvania, USA in September 2018, Elton John’s three-year Farewell Yellow Brick Road global tour has already been hailed as one of his most“energetic, dazzlingly-original and joyful celebrations”. Elton’s legendary catalogue, including beloved songs ‘Bennie and the Jets’, ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ and more, are showcased in a musical masterpiece that is a “reflective and stunning tribute to a great artist’s career” (NME), also celebrating his 50-plus year collaboration with lyricist Bernie Taupin – one of the great song-writing partnerships of all time.

The milestone itinerary comprises more than 300 shows across five continents, spanning three years, with stops in Europe, North America, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand, and marks the last tour of its kind by the celebrated songwriter and iconic showman.

“Playing live to other human beings is the greatest gift any artist could ever have”, said Sir Elton at his Chicago show.

Audiences will experience a rare glimpse into Elton’s life, and the deeply personal meaning behind some of his greatest hits, via mesmerising, never-before-seen images and videos displayed throughout the show from his incredible 50-year career. Complete with brand new stage production, and tour wardrobe designed by Italian fashion house Gucci, Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road global tour is intimate and personal, while also spectacular and daring.

He will be joined by longstanding band members Nigel Olsson on drums (part of Elton’s original three-piece band in 1970), esteemed musical director DaveyJohnstone (who first recorded with Elton in 1971 and joined the band a year later) on guitar, virtuoso Ray Cooper on percussion, Matt Bissonette on bass, John Mahon on percussion, and Kim Bullard on keyboards.

Sir Elton John said, “I always love coming back to Australia. Ever since my first visit in 1971 it has held a very special place in my heart.” Elton’s enduring history with Australia is evident across the years, notably in 2012, when he opened the Perth Arena, and most recently delivering the final performance at the Sydney Entertainment Centre [since demolished], in December 2015.

He bids farewell to the road almost fifty years on from his debut Australian show, having played 196 concerts and performing to more than 1.5 million people across the country in that time. Since his career began in 1969, he has performed a staggering 4000-plus shows in more than 80 countries.

The performer said that after the tour finishes he looks forward to “coming off the road and dedicating more time to raising my children”.

“I’m ecstatic and humbled to continue to play for audiences across the globe. I plan to bring to my final tour the passion and creativity that has entertained my fans for decades…It’s the most produced and fantastic show I’ve ever done. I want to go out with a bang…” – Elton John

Garnering rave reviews at sell-out shows across North America, Elton John’s curtain call will be the last chance to catch this legendary performer touring in Australia.

More than a concert; an unforgettable memory!

Tickets will go fast, don’t miss out on your spot at Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.
