The high-octane Oslo-based Halcyon Days are out with their second single titled ‘Keeper’, off the upcoming album ‘Rain Soaked Pavements & Fresh Cut Grass’, due June 15. ‘Keeper’ continues to showcase the band’s high-voltage, highly distinctive and catchy melodic hardcore sound. However, the message they try to convey with this track is a political one – an attempt to bring to awareness how we let polluted minds create and impact our lives and society. With this song, the band is calling out Trump on his behavior and ignorance – and here’s only a part of what they had to say:

…close your eyes and count to ten
and hide inside your empty shell
your disbelief and lack of shame
is nothing more than scrutiny
what has become of conscience?
at least a drop of empathy
a desperate man with no content
let’s make this country great again…

The band has commented: “’Keeper’ speaks about our thoughts on a certain president and the bizarre political state the world is in right now, and a build up to what might happen if shit hits the fan.”

HALCYON DAYS – ‘RAIN SOAKED PAVEMENTS & FRESH CUT GRASS’ COMING JUNE 15

The Oslo-based rock’n’roll foursome The Cruel Intentions are out with their new single and music video ‘Reckoning’‘Reckoning’ is the first single off their highly anticipated upcoming debut album ‘No Sign Of Relief’, due September 21! With this track, the band reaches to all working class heroes out there. ‘Reckoning’ is in-your-face rock tune, brimming with heavy guitar riffs, penetrating vocals and rebellious attitude. Give it a listen!

The band has commented the single: “We wrote ‘Reckoning’ for all working class heroes, a rock’n roll anthem for the people sick and tired of being told what to do and how to be. The frustration of being bound to a situation that you are depending on to live your life, when you really want to live another life than you’re currently living”, and continued about the video: “The video was shot in Oslo in March 2018 by the talented Troll Toftenes, basically starting with the band playing and adding on ideas and settings as we went along, the foundation was always to have a dark atmosphere, but to reflect the band and the song.”

The Norwegian thrash power-trio Aura Noir are coming in full sonic force once again! The band is out with their new single titled “Shades Ablaze” today, the second single off the upcoming, semi-self-titled ‘Aura Noire’, due April 27. It is heavy, fast and powerful – just as you would expect from Aura Noir.
Aggressor commented this track: “‘Shades Ablaze’ is one of the few tracks on the album featuring Apollyon on vocals. One of the faster songs. Watch out for Apollyon’s South American inspired drumming near the end. A homage to old Sarcophago and ancient Sepultura.”

With Aura Noire, a title which quite distinctly resembles their band name, Aura Noir churns through some of the most refreshing, yet nostalgic tracks of thrash metal ever to be heard. The album opens with probably one of the most retrospect of riffs, but suddenly summersaults you into the gloriously dissonant and immersive Aura Noir atmosphere.  The soaring and burning shouts of Aggressor intensely glues the otherwise quite varied and playful guitar riffs and drums together, culminating into the essence of thrash that is Aura Noir!
