The Coffee Man

An exciting new film festival arrives in Melbourne this year with the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival taking place from the 9-11th of July. Over the next few weeks we will take a look at various films playing at the festival.

Today we chat to Melbourne’s own Jeff Hann whose documentary ‘The Coffee Mean’ is screening at the festival. ‘The Coffee Man’ is a fascinating look at Sasa Sestic, a man who traveled to Australia to play handball, has become a coffee expert and in 2015 took part in the World Barista Championships. In our interview with Jeff we talk to him about how he first heard Sasa’s story and what it was like traveling to countries like Ethopia to make the documentary.
