Calling All Cars Release Werewolves Video
After ripping around the nation delivering blistering live sets and reminding audiences just how rambunctious they can be, Calling All Cars are officially back on the scene and wasting no time making their presence known.
First single, ‘Werewolves’ from their forthcoming album saturated national radio, sitting pretty in triple j’s most played for October. Now, the band are proud to unleash the video, a visual that takes the innuendo suggested in the song and successfully coaxes it to the next level of prowess.
Directed by David Rusanow (The Fumes, Washington, Snakadaktl), the video was visually inspired by the works of contemporary art photographer Bill Henson, particularly his use of skin tones and moody lighting. The result is simultaneously fierce, aggressive and sexual and achieves its ambition of transformation with an animalistic approach perfectly.
With a live show second-to-none, they’ve undoubtedly learned a thing or two from their stacked touring history spending time on the road with Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters and AC/DC to name a few. Due for release in the first quarter of 2014, the forthcoming album from Calling All Cars sees the band exploring new sonic territory and it’s clear they’re ready to step things up a gear.
