Ten years on from their glorious live return following a 21-year hiatus Sunnyboys announce The Last Dance; a final summer tour and the last ever live shows. No animosity, no musical differences, just the satisfaction of a job well done and knowing that it’s time.

In the ten-year period since their return Sunnyboys arguably achieved as much if not more as their original life-span. They co-headlined a sold-out A Day On The Green (with Hoodoo Gurus and Violent Femmes), set a venue record at Coolangatta Hotel (previously held by Noiseworks) sold-out multiple nights across Sydney’s Enmore and Factory Theatres, Brisbane’s The Tivoli, Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, with further sold-out further shows at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, Melbourne’s The Forum and Croxton Hotel, Perth Festival, Cairns, Thirroul, Torquay, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Dee Why; re-released all three studio albums, released a live DVD and a live album, recorded and released four new tracks, sold countless t-shirts, beanies, caps, hoodies and badges and watched their eponymous debut reach double platinum sales. A remarkable achievement for a band still largely ignored by the mainstream.

Tickets on-sale 9.00am Sept 29th via feelpresents.com

“Of the hundreds of bands, and thousand of people that we knew at the time, we’re one of the few that can stand up and say “We were really good at what we did, and we’re really proud of what we did” and we’re lucky enough to still be able to get up and say to people ‘We’re really proud to be able to present this to you now”.  Richard Burgman / Sunnyboys guitarist

The tour will run in conjunction with the release of Sunnyboys ’81-’84 a double vinyl band curated best-of featuring all the hits, the equally-as-good b-sides, fan faves, rarities and live material – many appearing on vinyl for the first time – and all drawn from their years as Mushroom Records recording artists. Sunnyboys ’81-’84 will be released in a limited edition of blue vinyl and is released on Nov 11th.

The Last Dance… grab your partner and witness the magic one more time.

Classic Bay Area Thrashers HEATHEN are set to play Australia for the first time in support of their latest album Empire Of The Blind out now on Nuclear Blast. Originating from the San Francisco Bay Area, active from 1984 to 1993 and again from 2001 onwards, the band is often credited – alongside Exodus, Testament, Forbidden, Death Angel and Vio-lence, as one of the leaders of the Bay Area thrash metal scene of the mid-to-late 1980s. They have gone through several line-up changes over the years, but still having the foundation of guitarist Lee Altus (Exodus), David White on vocals and Kragen Lum on guitar, with Kragen filling in for Gary Holt in Exodus whenever Holt was touring with Slayer. HEATHEN are Bay Area royalty for sure!

To date, HEATHEN has released four studio albums: Breaking the Silence (1987), Victims of Deception (1991), The Evolution of Chaos (2009) and Empire of the Blind (2020)., with the debut Breaking The Silence selling well over 100, 000 copies worldwide, and their latest album Empire Of The Blind going top 40 in the charts in Germany, Hungary, as well as charting elsewhere around the globe in places like Scotland. The events will act as a label showcase, and as album launch shows for Workhorse’s debut albumNo Photographs and e4444e’s third full-length recordI Spend All Day Drawing a Circle, with the Melbourne show also serving as a single launch for industrial-pop artist REBEL YELL who will release new single ‘Protect’ via Dinosaur City Records on Wednesday October 5.

Since the country opened back up King Parrot have toured Australia and probably played favourites to the mainland east coast. That changes today. The band felt it would be unsatisfactory to leave Tasmania and Western Australia off the map any longer. 4 big shows are scheduled for December to round out the year for King Parrot as they gear up to working on a new album in 2023. They’ve pulled together monster lineups for all shows and can’t wait to get back to these less frequently travelled destinations. Tickets are on sale for all shows now.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 29 @ Max Watt’s House of Music
Tickets on sale NOW: www.kingparrot.oztix.com.au

For the first time ever King Parrot will play their debut album “Bite Your Head Off” in its entirety to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the release. A lot has happened since the rabid debut record was unleashed on the unsuspecting public and King Parrot has since forged itself as a household name in the Aussie metal scene. From gruelling back to back international tours with some of metal’s biggest names to continuously tearing up and down the East Coast and all over Australia, King Parrot have made no secret of their desire to put on face-melting, high energy performances that leave absolutely everything on the stage. As a special one off treat, the band will play every song from “Bite Your Head Off” as has been requested from fans for many years.

Never to be outdone on putting together a monster lineup, joining the bill on this momentous occasion will be master riff lords from the nation’s capital Witchskull, and Sydney’s heavy sludge merchant’s Black Rheno. To round out the bill there’s 3 of Melbourne’s best to make this a show not to miss; The sonic psychedelic rock stylings of Spawn, the off kilter schizoid grind of Pissbolt and the dark and heavy blasts of newcomers Munt. DO NOT MISS THE CHAOS!

King Parrott will also be appearing at:

Just as England recently announced a new King, California rock legends Steel Panther have crowned Spyder as the new R.O.L.E…Ruler Of Low End.

The story of Spyder and Steel Panther is like one pulled from any great American love story. If you have seen The Notebook or Jaws, then you know exactly what we mean. Spyder and the guys have known each other for decades. But it was in 2018 that Spyder did his first live show with the band. Little did they know that those shows would be a foreshadowing of what destiny had in store for their collective futures. In 2021, the band found themselves in a pickle, they needed a bass player.

An exhaustive search brought many submissions and fans were treated to a variety of bassists on different tours. The band had even considered a few well-known bassists to fill the void. Throughout the five-week European tour in the summer of 2022, it became quite evident to all four guys that this lineup was unstoppable. A few more months of touring together perfected the new lineup and now anyone that has seen the band recently knows that Spyder is the perfect addition for Steel Panther. In other words, Spyder is the chocolate to Steel Panther’s peanut butter.

We wanted it to be you. We wanted it to be you so badly. So, it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but we want to do that because we want you. We want all of you, forever, you and us, every day. To us, you are perfect. You had us at hello. You complete us. We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” explains Steel Panther.

To coincide with the new bassist announcement, the newly whole Steel Panther are coming Down Under in October alongside Airbourne! More information on tickets and purchase links for all shows can be found at: http://mjrpresents.wpengine.com/steelpanther/.

Steel Panther will be hitting Powerstation in Auckland Monday 17 October, then will be joined for the Australian leg of the tour on Wednesday 19 October at Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Friday 21 October at Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Saturday 22 October at Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane, and will finish in Melbourne on Sunday 23 October at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne!

Steel Panther has been hard at work at new material that will be released throughout 2022. More information for all things Steel Panther can be found at www.steelpantherrocks.com.

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000.  Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.

Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, Steel Panther’s concept is genius…their songwriting is…preposterously snappy – and relatable.”

Tickets are on sale now for Steel Panther’s New Zealand date at Powerstation and Steel Panther and Airbourne Australian dates at http://mjrpresents.wpengine.com/steelpanther/.

Forty years on, and with their messages of positive engagement in Indigenous rights and environmental protection more relevant than ever, GOANNA this week re-commence an extensive national tour to commemorate and celebrate 40 years of their acclaimed, multi-platinum debut album Spirit of Place and the album’s truly iconic first single “Solid Rock”
The group announced the tour following a celebratory performance at WOMADelaide in March and followed the announcement with a three-show run as special guests of old mates Midnight Oil on their farewell tour. Other than these performances, the Celebrating 40 Years of Spirit of Place tour comprises the group’s first full-band shows in over 20 years.

The 40th Anniversary tour took in Queensland and the Northern Territory in June and July and now resumes to take in other capital cities and major regions, with a final headline homecoming show in Geelong, where it all started some 45 years ago.

The core trio and ever-beating heart of Goanna – Shane Howard, Rose Bygrave, and Marcia Howard – are being joined for the tour by original Spirit of Place guitarist Graham Davidge and a stellar line-up. The group will be joined on stage by special guests, and each night will feature a hand selected special guest as opening act.

Join this iconic Australian group as they embark on a new journey, paying homage to the classic songs from their early days and reigniting the Goanna spirit once more.
