[MUSIC INTERVIEW] SAM HUNN – Kurt Cobain Interview
Hobart based Indie Rock lord Sam Hunn has just dropped his new single called ‘Kurt Cobain’.
The single, although tongue-in-cheek, is a commentary on the long-standing issue of glamourizing musicians suffering from a decline in mental health.
Sam Hunn draws influence from the likes of Weezer, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Ballpark Music, Courtney Barnett, and Neil Young to create his intoxicating brand of Indie Rock.
Also forming one third of long-running Tasmanian band Verticoli, Sam recently began releasing music under his own name to broaden his creative horizons. He debuted his solo career with the release of singles ‘Thirty’ and ‘Skate or Die’ earlier this year.
As part of Verticoli, Sam and his bandmates achieved recognition as winners of the
Triple J Unearthed ‘Party in the Paddock’ competition and have received strong community radio support over the course of 3 EP’s and 2 LP’s to date.
Sam Hunn is now ready to unveil his latest solo offering.
New single called ‘Kurt Cobain’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
