Wolf Creek 2 Slays The Box Office
WOLF CREEK 2 has made a killing at the Australian box office this weekend, taking in over 35% more than the original.
Wolf Creek 2 grossed $1,702,073 on 218 screens nationally across its opening weekend (Thursday to Sunday).
“The original Wolf Creek struck a real chord with Australian audiences as we finally had our very own horror icon in Mick Taylor, so the Wolf Creek 2 team and I are absolutely delighted that fans are embracing the new film with the same, if not even more, excitement. It’s also a testament to the incredible local actors and crew we are blessed with, whose talent really gets to shine in an ambitious production like this” said Director, Greg McLean.
Roadshow Films Managing Director, Joel Pearlman said “Mick Taylor is back with a vengeance. Greg McLean has crafted a great successor in Wolf Creek 2 and Australian audiences made this the #1 film at the box office this weekend, which is particularly exciting for a local production.”
Wolf Creek 2 is currently screening in cinemas nationally.
