Cupidfalls And Pulse Mavens To Tour

Pulse Mavens

This Spring two of Australia’s most exciting new bands, Perth’s CUPIDFALLS and Sydney’s PULSE MAVENS are set to deliver an exciting tour for lovers of the hard-core scene.

Confirming dates in Sydney and surrounds, the two bands decided a joint effort was in order with Cupidfalls headlining what are set to be explosive shows across all dates.

Hailing from Perth, Cupidfalls are five pop-punk, hard-core enthusiasts. Joining forces in 2010, the band recorded their debut EP “Dancing In Distortion” with renown producer Sonny Truelove (Angelas Dish, Before Their Eyes) at STL Studio. The album was then mixed by Sonny and mastered by Troy Glessner (Anberlin, MXPX, Underoath, Aiden) of Spectre Studios in the USA. Later that year, Cupidfalls headlined Indonesia’s popular “Urbanfest” and it was all systems go.

Last year the band was selected from 700 across Australia to be part of the top 10 finalists in Nova FM’s “I Am With The Band” competition. Cupidfalls were then aired daily on national television during prime time viewing and went on to perform at Fremantle’s Prison for the competition’s showcase, which was covered live on Nova 93.7FM. Having been on Channel 11 and Nova FM, Cupidfalls made their debut on Australian television at the same time building a national fan base.

Two months ago, the band released their debut album “Bay View” and celebrated at a sold out show at Perth’s YMCA HQ. Now they’re bringing the set to the East Coast.

“We can’t wait to get back over to NSW. On this tour we get to play a bunch of new places, which is awesome, and it’s going to be our first chance to give the East Coast a taste of our new sound”.

Cupidfalls have come a long way in a short time. This can be attributed to the members individual successes as musicians in the local scene and their persistence and determination to further their dreams while dropping into breakdowns and moving audiences with their infection live performances.

While Pulse Mavens are new to the scene, the female fronted melodic hard-core band has burst on to the scene with a debut EP “Fight Back”.

Promising to showcase songs from the new EP which was recorded with producers Shane ‘Buddha’ Edwards (Northlane), Dave Petrovic (Tonight Alive) and Whakaio Taahi (Tonight Alive), Pulse Mavens have really found their feet and their sound musically. They’ve managed to pull together a mixture of heavy and soft songs with high energy instruments and beguiling lyrics.

Vocalist Kait Hudson is, “way too keen to get back on the road and touring again with my best friends! This time round it will be spring, a fresh season and we will be pumped because we live for touring!”
