Safia Release New Single

‘You Are The One’ follows three #1 Hype Machine placements just this year and is a soulful reaffirmation of the band’s position as masters of their craft.  With all instruments recorded completely live, SAFIA embrace the energy of their live show, serving up a track that is surely set to become the anthem of the warmer months, promising to feature on every road trip and poolside playlist. It follows on from their previous single, ‘Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds’ which was Zan Rowe’s ‘Catch of the Day’ and has had over a quarter of a million Soundcloud spins.

SAFIA were just last week nominated for the Carlton Dry Global Music Grant where the band are in the running for a $50k grant, shortlisted alongside Saskwatch, Fractures, The Smith Street Band and Remi for remarkable achievements.

The past 12 months has seen the outfit invited to tour nationally with alt-pop queen bee, Lorde, perform a sold out headline run of shows, top the Hype Machine charts with a cover of James Vincent McMorrow’s ‘Cavalier’ as well as joining Peking Duk during their Groovin The Moo and Splendour In The Grass sets to perform their new collaboration (out soon).
