MISTLETOE RANCH, the tender, joyous and snow-filled holiday romance from The Steve Jaggi Company, will release in cinemas nationally from November 17, 2022. Starring Mercy Cornwall (Dive Club) and Jordi Webber (Nomad, Power Rangers Ninja Steel), MISTLETOE RANCH is an uplifting tale of love rediscovered, that will ignite the festive spirit this holiday season.
Eight years after leaving the town of Snowy Oak, Aimée Tremblay (Mercy Cornwall) is following her dreams as assistant to an internationally-celebrated photographer. While she’s initially more interested in preparing for the next big shoot than returning home for the holidays, her plans change when she learns her ex-fiancé, James Hunt (Jordi Webber), has cancelled the town’s Christmas celebrations. Upon her return home, Aimée finds her childhood home vacant and the ranch in debt. As Aimée faces a choice between returning to manage the property or selling it so she can continue to pursue her dream career, she finds herself reconnecting with the ranch, the locals, and James – and facing a difficult decision about what her future holds.
MISTLETOE RANCH is written by Claire J. Harris (Dive Club) and directed by Rhiannon Bannenberg (Rip Tide, Dive Club). Bannenberg comments “MISTLETOE RANCH is a heart-warming ode to enduring love and being true to yourself. I loved working with our gorgeous cast and crew to tell this hopeful love story of childhood sweethearts finding each other again. It’s testament to the resilience and commitment of our entire cast and crew, that we have this magical story to share with audiences.”
Also starring in MISTLETOE RANCH is Charles Allen (Bloody Hell), Molly Wright (Kidnapped), Andrea Moor (Heartbreak High) and Kimberley Joseph (Lost). The film was shot across Brisbane and the Gold Coast hinterland in early 2022.
MISTLETOE RANCH is written Claire J. Harris, directed by Rhiannon Bannenberg and produced by Steve Jaggi, with Kylie Pascoe and Kelly Son Hing co-producing. Executive producers are James Huntsman, Lisa Gutberlet, Stephanie Slack, Janine Pearce, Lionel Hicks, Phil Hunt and Compton Ross. The film is financed with the assistance of Empire Media Global, HeadGear and Asia Pacific Film Investment Group, and is supported by the Queensland Government though Screen Queensland’s Screen Finance program.
MISTLETOE RANCH is being released theatrically by Athabasca Film, screening in select cinemas across Australia this November.
