[FILM NEWS] WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY Exclusive Clip Released
UMBRELLA ENTERTAINMENT will release the highly anticipated and ultra-violent WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY in Australian & New Zealand Cinemas from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th of February with Valentine’s Day’s Special Advance Screenings February 14.
Mere months after author A.A. Milne’s original Winnie the Pooh stories had entered the public domain, writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield saw the opportunity to transform the beloved characters from the classic children’s tales into a transgressive and brutal slasher film.
Popular genre film site Dread Central first broke news of WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY in May of last year and it fast turned into a media frenzy with coverage by every major entertainment and news site from around the globe, the likes of Variety to Newsweek to LadBible to Bloody Disgusting.
Courtesy of Umbrella Entertainment, here is a first-look at the film with Winnie the Pooh confronting his abandonment issues with Christopher Robin in this Exclusive Scene Clip.
The days of adventures and merriment have come to an end, as Christopher Robin, now a young man, has left Winnie the Pooh and Piglet to fend for themselves. As time passes, feeling angry and abandoned, the two become feral. After getting a taste for blood, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet set off to find a new source of food. It’s not long before their bloody rampage begins.
Australian & New Zealand audiences will be among the first in the world to experience the film when it opens theatrically across the country from February 16 to 19. Please note that cinema locations below with an * beside their name will be holding Valentine’s Day Advance Screenings on February 14. |
