[MUSIC INTERVIEW] DON BROCO – 2023 Australian Tour Interview

“I’m not sure if you can still call us one of the most hard-working bands in the world,” says Rob from Don Broco with a laugh. “I’ve had the last few weeks off and I have been watching a lot of TV.”

The label is still warranted though because prior to that break the band was touring relentlessly alongside artists such as Papa Roach and Dance Gavin Dance. Even now the break they are on is to prepare for the fact that they are about to hit Australia for a set of shows alongside some of Australia’s best talent – Alt. and Wayside.

“Before our little break we were doing a three or four week tour with some of your local boys Ocean Grove,” he says after the laughter has died down. “We also had Sleeping With Sirens with us and we went across Europe. We hit up some of the usual places that we go to – Germany, France and Italy – but we also got to go to a few new places that we had never been to before like Scandinavia and Budapest. The tour was really cool because we haven’t played a lot of those places since the pandemic. The shows were just popping, and it was certainly the most excitement that we have ever felt before.”

They are hoping to bring that excitement to Australia this week though and Rob says they have something very special planned for their Aussie fans “The last time we came to Australia was just before we released Technology so we are definitely going to be diving into that one because it was the first album released properly in Australia so we will be dining out on that with a couple of golden oldies as well from the albums before.”
