[MUSIC NEWS] SHEPPARD Announce Warner Bros Movie World Shows

Global hit makers and Aussie music success story Sheppard, today announce a two-week engagement at Warner Bros Movie World on Queensland’s Gold Coast during the upcoming school holidays, a long-term move to the United States, as well as celebrating the success to date of current smash single, Daylight.

Performing daily from September 15 to October 2* as part of the iconic theme park’s ‘Music on Main’ series, Sheppard will delight fans with their electric stage presence and trademark high-energy hits, including international chart toppers, Geronimo and Coming Home. Sheppard will feature in the daily Star Parade on Main Street alongside a host of favourite Warner Bros characters, before taking the stage to wow crowds and make every day of the September school holidays one to remember for the tens of thousands expected through the turnstiles over that period.

Bass player and youngest sibling Emma Sheppard said, “We never feel more at home than we do on the stage and to be part of something so fun and magical at Warner Bros Movie World is an amazing opportunity. We can’t wait to be part of the fun, play our favourite songs in the Queensland sunshine and bring the good vibes!”

The Warner Bros Movie World shows will be one of the last opportunities to see Sheppard before Amy, Emma and George, accompanied by their partners, relocate from Brisbane to Nashville in early October. It will begin a new exciting musical chapter for the hugely successful Aussie siblings, as the US continue to be the band’s biggest market. Immersing themselves long-term in the heart of the world’s creative music scene will bring new opportunities and allow the band to continue to produce, perform and promote their extensive catalogue of hits to bigger audiences across America.

Amy Sheppard shares about the big move, “We are such proud Australians so it’s very exciting for us to represent over in Nashville, play for our fans over there, be able to spend time in both Los Angeles and New York and of course, a much shorter trip over to Europe to connect with audiences in places like the UK and Netherlands. It’s a big risk but we feel the Sheppard sound and brand have evolved enough for us to make the move and commit a few years to this. We will definitely be coming back and forth so our Australian audiences will still be seeing us!”

Currently the band’s latest bold dance-pop single, Daylightaccompanied by one of their best music videos HERE, has been met with mass acclaim, impacting radio airplay charts around the world and featuring on many editorial playlists. Front man George Sheppard says, “Daylight is like a shot of caffeine for your ears. It’s the perfect antidote for those gloomy days when you need a pick-me-up. You can almost feel the confetti when the chorus hits. We put so much energy into this song that we’re pretty sure it could power a small city. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a music video with a baby alien? It really is out of this world”.

Last month, Sheppard also celebrated a rare milestone for an Australian act, as their 2014 global hit, Geronimo, crossed the HALF BILLION mark on Spotify alone. Altogether, they have now clocked up two billion combined streams across their catalogue, including classics like Coming HomeLet Me Down EasyLearning to Fly, Eurovision entry On My Way, and Die Young.

Sheppard perform daily at Warner Bros Movie World from September 15 to October 2, *excluding September 23.

Daylight is taken from Sheppard’s upcoming fourth studio album, scheduled for release in early 2024.
