[MUSIC INTERVIEW] FROM A NIGHTMARE – Doom State Interview
Emerging from the remnants of the vibrant bands that once defined the Baltimore music scene in the early 2000s, a new force now rises – From A Nightmare.
Comprised of seasoned musicians, formerly of esteemed Maryland outfits like Quarry, Epic Harvest, and Dead Atlantic, From A Nightmare is a four-piece collective. Each member brings a distinct vision and background, merging seamlessly to construct a relentless wall of sound that refuses compromise.
Hailing from the fringes of Baltimore, MD, and York, PA, the band’s sonic identity is crafted from thunderous guitar riffs, pulsating basslines, and commanding drum patterns, all underpinned by aggressive yet melodic vocals.
Drawing inspiration from titans like Tool, Deftones, Killswitch Engage, and Mudvayne, From A Nightmare forges their own path in the modern heavy music landscape.
Their sound is formidable, delivered with unwavering intensity, yet it is rooted in a foundation of camaraderie, positivity, and the belief in the collective strength of humanity. Their message is clear: united in purpose, we find our power – Strength In Numbers.
Now the band deliver Doom State and this week Dave Griffiths sat down for a chat with them:
