[MUSIC INTERVIEW] KRONOWSKI – Do I Need A Reason Interview
Kronowski is the metal/rock creation of songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Adam Kronowski. Bursting on to the scene with the single “The Pyre”, Kronowski has amassed millions of streams, appeared on playlists like Spotify’s “All New Metal” and “New Blood”, and even charted on the official Spotify charts.
Handling all writing, performance, and production himself, Adam pulls from a wide variety of heavy metal and rock influences, and even outside genres like
country and reggaeton, to craft heavy metal in a new powerful direction.
Along with lead guitarist Tommy Lenzi, the group takes the next step forward on the scorching new single “Do I Need a Reason”. A thrashing anthem for those days when everything just feels off, “Reason” balances breakneck speeds with ear worm melodies and cutting lyrics for a one of a kind metal experience.
Teaming up with metal veterans like Dennis Ward (Angra, Helloween) and Matias Kupiainen (Stratovarius) on mixing duties and Mika Jussila (Children of Bodom,
Nightwish) and Ted Jensen (Lamb of God, Green Day) on mastering, Kronowski’s releases stand in the top ranks of metal releases today on every level.
“Do I Need a Reason” is an anthem for our bad days. Mixing the aggression of thrash and metalcore with the ear worm melodies of pop and power metal, “Reason” is a powerhouse of an experience.
Lyrically, the song asks “Do I need a reason to not be ok?”, as songwriter Adam Kronowski grapples with the emotions we all struggle to keep control of in our daily lives.
Coupled with the previous singles “The Weight”, “Tides”, “Boring”, and “Shades of Grey”, the EP journeys from aggressive breakdowns to pensive ballads and everything in between, providing a truly modern metal experience.
This week Dave Griffiths caught up with Kronowski for a chat. You can read the interview below:
