[FILM NEWS] MONSTER FEST 2025 Announced For NSW, QLD, SA & WA

Monster Fest returns to select Event Cinemas in QLD & WA October 17-19 and NSW & SA October 24-26 with a program of the freshest and most fearless genre cinema from local shores and abroad.

Monster Fest’s 2025 program includes: director Colin Minihan’s satirical eco-horror COYOTES with Justin Long & Kate Bosworth; filmmaker Jason Lei Howden’s highly anticipated heavy metal horror sequel DEATHGASM II: GOREMAGEDDON; Monster Fest alumni Steven Kostanski’s reimagining of the sword and sorcery classic DEATHSTALKER; visionary filmmaker Luc Besson’s take on Bram Stoker’s legendary source with DRACULA: A LOVE TALE, starring Caleb Landry Jones & Christoph Waltz; director Max Minghella’s mordant body-horror SHELL, with Elisabeth Moss and Kate Hudson; filmmaker Clark Baker’s nostalgia-drenched sci-fi scare-fest TEST SCREENING; director Mercedes Bryce Morgan’s ‘psycho’-sexual BONE LAKE and all-new 4K Restorations of Alex Winter and Tom Stern’s 1993 cult opus FREAKED and Barbara Peeters’ 1980 nautical nasty HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP.

In addition to the aforementioned programming, Monster Fest has city-specific programming that includes a Monster Presents preview screening of Daniel J. Phillips’ cabin-in-the-woods demonic horror DIABOLIC (Brisbane, Perth & Sydney) and filmmaker Joe Begos’ tripped-out bloody passion project JIMMY AND STIGGS (Adelaide).
