[MUSIC INTERVIEW] THE WOLSTON BUTCHERS – Last Dance Interview

Sunshine coast based Punk Rock outfit The Wolston Butchers have just released their killer new single called ‘Last Dance’.

The single was recorded with longtime producer and friend Troy Brady (The Amity Affliction) and is the first of a slew of singles set for release this year.

The Wolston Butchers give a nod to the Skate Punk sounds of the nineties whilst still playing their unique and original blend of Punk and Hardcore. Since their debut, the band have released a steady stream of singles and have shared the stage with the likes of Guttermouth (USA), Belvedere (CAN), RedhookFrenzal Rhomb and Bodyjar.

The band have developed a reputation for explosive live performances and fierce dedication to the genre, amassing a devoted fanbase both locally and abroad. Their self-promoted single ‘LDDF’ (2024) has gained over 50k streams on Spotify, with the music video currently at 177k streams on YouTube. Their follow-up music video ‘Play These Games’ (2025) has now received over 32k streams on YouTube.

Their new single ‘Last Dance’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.

This week the band sat down with Subculture to chat about the single. You can take a listen to the interview right here:
