Today, Disney+ announced that the popular original comedy series “Only Murders in the Building,” produced by 20th Television, has been renewed for a third season. New episodes of the current second season stream weekly on Tuesdays on Disney+ in Australia.
 
The news follows a successful first and second season for the series which stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, and both seasons are 100% certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
 
“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. In season two, following the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger, Charles, Oliver & Mabel race to unmask her killer. However, three (unfortunate) complications ensue – the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny’s homicide, they are now the subjects of a competing podcast, and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbors who all think they committed murder.

“Only Murders in the Building”, the hit original comedy series starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez has been picked up for a second season. The show will stream on Disney+ in Australia and is the most-watched Star Original on premiere day on Disney+.

Today, Disney+ debuted the key art for comedic murder mystery “Only Murders In The Building” and announced that the series will premiere exclusively on Star on Disney+ as a Star Original from Tuesday, August 31st.

[VOD NEWS] THE MUPPETS Arrive On DISNEY+

The long wait for Muppet fans is almost over! The Muppet Show, Jim Henson’s iconic variety series that started it all, will begin streaming Friday, 19 February exclusively on Disney+. In addition to the first three seasons, fans will be able to enjoy seasons 4 and 5, which have never previously been released on home entertainment. 

The Muppet Show stars Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, the Swedish Chef, and more in a ground-breaking twist on the classic variety show, blending original songs, sketch comedy, and guest stars into a prime-time hit for all ages.

“It’s going to be great to welcome back longtime fans, and to give a new generation of fans a chance to see how we got our start, how Miss Piggy became a star and so much more,” said Kermit the Frog. “Today, I’m proud to say: ‘It’s time to play the music, light the lights and meet the Muppets on Disney Plus tonight!’  And as for Statler and Waldorf, the two old guys in the balcony, I can only add: ‘Sorry, guys, but….here we go again.”
