Mia Dyson Extends Tour
Due to popular demand, Mia Dyson has added dates to her homecoming tour this October. Mia released her critically acclaimed album Idyllwild in May simultaneously in the US and Australia and this trip is her first opportunity to play to Australian audiences since its release.
Dates have been added today for Adelaide, Hobart, Devonport, Geelong, and Darwin as well as confirming for Meredith and Mullumbimby festivals and an exclusive solo show as part of the Rolling Stone Live Lodge in Melbourne
Idyllwild and its lead single “When We’re Older” have built on Mia’s extensive Australian fan base built over the last decade, built through heavy touring, national airplay via triple j and opening slots for the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Chris Isaak, Joe Cocker, Stevie Nicks and Donavon Frankenreiter.
Moving to the US in 2010, Dyson started again, playing everything from cafes to pubs, building a new career in the world’s biggest music market and re-crafting her sound, leading to The Moment in 2012 and its big single “When The Moment Comes” which achieved ad placements on both sides of the Pacific and landed spots as the US Premier League theme as well as TV placement on network favourites including Elementary, Bones and Hart of Dixie.
