Sticky Fingers Release New Video
After serving up two already massive singles this year, Sticky Fingers‘ sophomore album Land Of Pleasure has been landing multiple successes – including a #3 ARIA chart debut, storming the AIR Independent Album Chart at #1, triple j feature album (and two of the highest played tracks of the year in singles “Gold Snafu” and “Just For You”), performing to a record-breaking early attendance crowd of 20,000 at Splendour In The Grass, and standing shoulder to shoulder with others on the 2014 Falls Festival line up. Sticky Fingers just refuse to stop, adding second, third and even fourth shows across the country at the Land Of Pleasure launch tour consistently sells out the biggest venues the band has played to yet.
Never predictable, always prepared, Sticky Fingers now bring you the video for “Liquorlip Loaded Gun”. Shot during the band’s recent European jaunt, the clip features the band walking the springtime streets of Paris, revelling in the barebones ballad – reflected in the minimalistic, black-and-white, no-frills style with the mise en scene evoking many iconic clips from the 80’s and 90’s.
Land Of Pleasure has a bigger sound than anything we’ve heard from the band yet. From the 90’s rave beats & soaring guitar lines of “Just For You” to the post-ecstasy euphoria of “Gold Snafu”. Sticky Fingers continues to prove impossible to pigeon hole, while maintaining that instantly recognisable & authentically “sticky” sound. Swaggering bass, psychedelic sound scapes, the dreamy vocals of Dylan Frost – a unique and accomplished record that’s garnering praise from every corner of the globe.
