Hear My Eyes To Team Up With The Astor

Hear My Eyes and The Astor are thrilled to announce their second film & live score collaboration!
This time round, Melbourne’s brilliant sound and visual artist Sui Zhen, along with her full band, will be re-interpreting Chris Marker’s landmark film SANS SOLEIL. Sui Zhen’s re-interpretation will include an original live score, sonic collaborations with the films original soundscapes and live, re-enacted narration.

SANS SOLEIL
Chris Marker, filmmaker, poet, novelist, photographer, editor, and now videographer and digital multimedia artist, has been challenging moviegoers, philosophers, and himself for years with his complex queries about time, memory, and the rapid advancement of life on this planet. Sans Soleil is his mind-bending free-form travelogue that journeys from Africa to Japan.

SUI ZHEN
Sui Zhen is the alias of Melbourne-based ‘dream beat’ artist Becky Sui Zhen. Her recent electronic experimentation with ethereal techno-pop and minimal down-tempo 808-lead tracks takes influence from Japanese lovers rock, 80s electro-bossanova and dubby-lounge pop which Becky discovered during holidays in Japan and London.
