Prepare to be knocked the F*#K out by Judo CHOP!, the 6-piece melodic punk band hailing from Melbourne, Australia! last month they announced their forthcoming EP release and dropped their single ‘Disconnected’. Now, they return with a second helping of Chop Suey, a blinding new single that shares a title with the EP.

Judo CHOP!’s new EP release ‘Shelf Life’ will be birthed into the world on Friday July 2nd, via People of Punk Rock Records (Bodyjar, Zebrahead, Frenzal Rhomb) and today they are unleashing the title track.

Vocalist Murray McDonald says that ‘Shelf Life’ is about “Grappling with the frailty of life’s dumbfounding coincidence, Shelf life points to the human condition of having intelligence enough for self awareness in the morass of unknowing. Authenticity is best and as suggested, you should go your own way.  Follow your own road! 

They will follow up the release of their EP with a hometown launch show on Friday August 20th at the iconic Collingwood venue The Tote in the upstairs bar, alongside mates Foxtrot and Awake Now. Tickets are available at the band’s Facebook page now and are limited to 50 ONLY.

The poignant lyric video for ‘Shelf Life’ was filmed and edited by Jackson Webster @ Jackson Webster Visuals and the concept and direction was shared by Judo CHOP! and Jackson Webster. The ‘Shelf Life’ EP was produced by Sam Johnson @ Holes & Corners Recording Studio in South Melbourne!
