What started as one man’s project in Brazil has now turned into one of the world’s most interesting metal bands. For Guilherme Aguiar Leal HERETIC started as a way for him to experiment mixing what we would call ‘world music’ with metal. The blend worked better than he expected, and was soon named Oriental Metal, and as he traveled with his music he soon as artists from France and Belgium wanting to join up with them.

The result was HERETIC as we know it today, a metal outfit where you never really know what kind of instrument you are going to hear on the next track. This week HEAVY Magazine’s Dave Griffiths sat down with Guilherme to find out what fans can expect to hear on their new album Feast.
