[MUSIC NEWS] FOREVER ENDS HERE Announces Tour

Sydney pop punk trio Forever Ends Here announce their return after five years away with their flirtatious new single, Cherry Chapstick. The song will be toured across Australia in July on The Return Of Forever Ends Here Tour, tickets on sale now via Destroy All Lines

New single Cherry Chapstick exudes irresistible charm and captures the essence of a classic Forever Ends Here pop punk song with a mature, modern flair – It’s raw, it’s catchy, it’s jumpy and it’s energetic.

Setting the tone for their long-awaited comeback, the track is produced in collaboration with Rich Mammoliti, mixed by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Stand Atlantic) and mastered by Grant Berry (Yours Truly, PVRIS).

Thematically Cherry Chapstick mirrors the nature of the song sonically, inviting listeners into an enthralling chase of lust. Vocalist and songwriter Luke McChesney says, “lyrically the song is about being involved with someone who you know is playing you, and playing them right back – ‘I can be your cherry chapstick, pressed against your lips til you lose me. You can keep me in your pocket, you always look your best when you use me’”.

It’s been five years since the ‘I guess forever really did end here’ puns started rolling and Forever Ends Here set off around the country on what was to be their last ever tour together on the aptly named FEHwell Tour. Original members Luke McChesney (vocals/guitar), Mav Burnett (bass) and Kane McChesney (drums) took their time away until they found themselves in space that called for reformation.

“The reunion has been in the works for quite some time now,” explains McChesney. “We always thought we’d do some kind of one-off club show to celebrate 10 years of our second EP, but we got talking last year about all the things we miss about the band and all the possibilities if we reopened the door. We’ve done a lot of growing since the band split, not only as people but as song writers too and it seems a shame not to share that growth with the people who stuck by us.”

Hitting Australia’s east coast in July, the trio will be performing fan favourites from Imagine This to From Where I’d Rather Be and everything in between. Forever Ends Here return with regenerated passion and drive.

Forever Ends Here dominated the Australian pop punk scene from their very beginning in 2011 to their demise in 2018, headlining national tours and sharing the stage with the likes of Simple Plan (US), 5 Seconds Of SummerState Champs (US), Neck Deep (UK), Short Stack and more. Starting out at just 15 years old, the boys quickly built a cult-like following, attracting fans who remained loyal to the band right up until the very end.

Joining Forever Ends Here on all shows is Perth alt-rock duo Those Who Dream and Melbourne emo rock outfit Belle Haven. Off the back of national tours with Mayday Parade and Short Stack, Those Who Dream are shining bright as they capture the hearts of listeners across the country with their playful yet hearty offerings. Belle Haven join in on the fun fresh from their stint across the nation supporting RedHook on the Postcard From A Living Hell Tour, where they’ve been sharing their energetic recent releases to hungry audiences.
