[SPORT] SAINTS Welcome HENRY

Liam Henry will call RSEA Park home for at least the next four years, with the Saints today facilitating a trade with Fremantle Football Club.

The proud Walmatjarri/Noongar man starred on the wing this year, making the move up the ground to average career-best numbers from his 16 senior appearances.

In exchange for 22-year-old Henry, St Kilda parted ways with a future second round pick and a future fourth round pick, while also obtaining a future fourth round pick from Fremantle.

“Liam is an exciting young player with plenty of upside to excite Saints fans,” List Manager Stephen Silvagni said.

“His ability to find space is complemented by his elite skills and composure with ball in hand.

“We can’t wait to welcome Liam and his family to the club.”

Henry, originally taken at pick No. 9 at the 2019 National Draft, said he was looking forward to making the move over east.

“I loved my time at the Dockers, they made my childhood dreams come true which I’m very grateful for, but I felt like the time was right to make a change,” Henry said.

“I’m really keen to just dig into pre-season and do my best to contribute to the team.”

Following this trade, St Kilda currently holds picks 13, 21, 35 and 56.
