[MUSIC NEWS] FANGZ Announce Sydney Party Bash
Featuring 13 acts across two stages, FANGZstock is set to feature the likes of LOSER, Closure, Mac the Knife, Neighbourhood Void, Starcrazy, Lady Lazarus, WELL? and FANGZ themselves, rounding out the main stage. They’ll be joined by Lady Lyon, Ed Barnes, Blake Cateris, Sarah Yagki and Bronte Alva, who’ll grace the courtyard stage with intimate stripped back sets.
Jameel Majam of FANGZ describes the motivation behind the project:
“Impassioned by the quality of acts kicking about the place, we’ve decided to throw a party to showcase the ludicrous talent Australia has waiting in the wings. Think of this as an alternative to complaining about how ‘live music is dead in Sydney’. This is an event to unite music fans and show them a collection of bands handpicked personally by FANGZ.”
The event will also feature DJ sets from Emmy Mack (RedHook/triple j), Maya Aston-Louis (Best Bands You Never Heard), Good Intent and Malcolm Turntable. In addition to the music programming, the enigmatic ‘Hissing Booth‘ will also launch – a mysterious activation positioned to bring a stack of lols, with proceeds to be donated to Support Act. From 12pm – 4pm, the FANGZstock burger, chips and beer combo will be available for $15, and for the whole day, Young Henrys will be running $20 jugs.
FANGZ is a Sydney-based four-piece punk rock band that write songs with the sole purpose of getting people to party and attempt backflips in mosh pits. Since their 2019 inception, the group have released three EP’s and a handful of singles. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with The Bronx, FIDLAR, Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats, He Is Legend, and sold out a bunch of their headline tours. They’ve launched their own line of hot sauce, and they even got on TV for breaking a world record, eating the most number of hard-boiled eggs in one sitting.
