[MUSIC INTERVIEW] JOLLY JINGO – Miner’s Son Interview

Novocatrian Australian Singer-Songwriter Jolly Jingo has just released his heartfelt new single called Miners Son.
“Having come from a family of undercover Coal Miners from Newcastle NSW, my father and grandfather. It was always a worrying concern of mine that one day this could be the last day shared with these legends of the pit. With so many mining disasters in Australia from Beaconsfield, Collinsville and over the world (recently 82 men perished in China). My new single Miners Son highlights the struggle and sacrifice on a daily basis by these brave souls.”
Brett Jones, aka Jolly Jingo, blends elements of Country, Rock, Blues and Folk into a raw, high energy sound. A former Navy serviceman and Gulf War Veteran, Jolly Jingo turns real-life experience into songs packed with humour, heart and hard earned truth. After 10 years of service in the navy, Jolly Jingo started writing music whilst sailing around Australia on his yacht. Following two close-calls with stage 4 cancer, Jolly Jingo wants nothing more than to bring fun, happiness and laughter into the lives of everyone around him.
From Pubs to Festival stages, Jolly Jingo proves that one man, a handful of instruments and a lifetime of stories is enough to captivate any crowd.
New single Miners Son is available on all major online streaming services.
This week Brett spoke to Subculture about the new single. You can take a listen to the interview right here:
