[MUSIC INTERVIEW] VADER 2023 Australian Tour Interview
Polish death metal veterans, one of the most consistent bands in the European death metal scene. Being around since 1983 they have developed classic yet catching and aggressive style. During all these years they have invaded almost the entire planet and became one of the most frequently touring bands. The band’s latest album entitled Solitude in Madness was released in 2020 by Nuclear Blast Records. In 2023 VADER will celebrate its 40 Years Anniversary with a cycle of exclusive shows around the world and Australia is going to be one of the first…. and the band couldn’t be more excited.
“Congratulations that we have survived that much, hey?” says frontman Piotr ‘Peter’ Wiwczarek when I congratulate him on the 40th anniversary. “Technically we are celebrating it twice because this tour was actually supposed to happen two years ago and then it was postponed twice so I am more than happy to be finally set foot on Australian soil once again after ten years. We are going to bring something very special to you and yes it will be connected to our 40th anniversary.”
In this very special interview with Dave Griffiths Piotr not only chats about what the band has in store for their Australian fans but also what it was like starting a band behind the iron curtain forty years ago.
