[MUSIC INTERVIEW] EXHUMED – 2026 Australian Tour Interview

Gore Metal kings EXHUMED (USA) hit the blood-soaked road in 2026, announcing their long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand in support of their brand-new album Red Asphalt, out February 20, 2026 via Relapse Records.

The undisputed masters of “Gore” Metal rev their engines and prepare one of 2026’s most frenetic, unhinged slabs of sonic obliteration — a record that finds EXHUMED pushing their trademark deathgrind violence into even more dangerous territory.

“We’re very stoked to be back in your ear-holes with Red Asphalt,” says EXHUMED mastermind Matt Harvey. “Our recent albums have taken you with us through graveyards, operating theatres, video store horror aisles, and our own band history. This time around, we’re inviting you to a place we spend a disproportionate amount of our lives — the American roadway. Familiar, yet far more dangerous than it feels — a place that can take you to the hospital or the grave in more ways than you can imagine.”

As part of their 2026 Australia & New Zealand tour, EXHUMED will be joined by NSW-based Old School Death Metal band ANOXIA on all New Zealand dates, bringing raw, blood drenched savagery across the Tasman. For the Australian dates, EXHUMED will be joined by Western Australia’s own ASHEN, one of the country’s most formidable modern death metal acts.

This week the band spoke to Subculture about the tour. You can take a listen to the interview right here:
