The need for someone isn’t always pretty, it’s messy. It’s more desperate, like an addict afraid of losing the drug.
Sometimes the most powerful expression of a relationship isn’t “you complete me”.
It’s “when you’re here, I don’t want to die.”

Produced by Dave Hammer (JEFFE, Nicole Millar, Gideon Benson), the surprisingly uplifting new single “mess around your room” is about being there when it is not convenient, for either party. It’s about sticking around through the mess.

mess around your room” is out now on all digital platforms.

Peter Sonic will be playing some debut live shows in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne in July and August.

Peter Sonic is a 6″3 powerhouse of emotional melody. Combining southern gothic tunes with a new wave emphasis, it’s the voice that creeps into the back of your mind, it’s the itching urge for disaster.
He also makes coffee. He also really likes to dance.
Drawing influences from the genius of David Bowie, the theatricality of Kate Bush, the despair of Lana Del Ray, the character of Clint Eastwood in The GoodThe Bad & The Ugly, and the grit of Steinbeck and HemingwayPeter Sonic is an expression of the contradictions of life; the passion and the apathy, the hope and despair, the organic and synthetic, the quiet and chaotic.
mess around your room” is a follow up to tribal drum-fuelled, groove-laden, new wave pop anthem debut single “the cracks“, which has clocked over 250,000 streams on Spotify/Apple Music and has been played on triple j, Double j, triple j unearthed, ABC local, triple R, and SYN radio.

After their award winning 2017 release I Must Be Somewhere, Raised By Eagles are delighted to be back on the road, playing selected dates from June – August taking in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria  – and for the very first time, Tassie.  We know it’s cold out there – but Raised By Eagles are a band worth heading out into a winter’s night for.

When you see Raised By Eagles perform live it’s as if they draw breath together.  You’d swear Luke Sinclair, Nick O’Mara, Johnny Gibson and Luke Richardson have played in this band since time began. Then there’s the music itself; it’s evocative, old-soul Americana coming out of men surely not old enough to play it with such integrity, sincerity and presence – but they do.

This is a band with no need for gimmickry or lip service to the latest pop culture or trend.  With I Must Be Somewhere, and their previous  release Diamonds In The Bloodstream, Raised By Eagles have delivered an impossibly stunning suite of songs that stands tall and timeless, built on a foundation of rock solid songwriting, musicianship, a good dose of mongrel and something that simply can’t be taught – soul. So grab your coat, grab your scarf, gather your friends & head out the door to warm yourselves up with one of Australia’s finest alt-country rock bands.  You’re invited – just ask Nick!

The Oslo-based rock’n’roll foursome The Cruel Intentions are out with their new single and music video ‘Reckoning’‘Reckoning’ is the first single off their highly anticipated upcoming debut album ‘No Sign Of Relief’, due September 21! With this track, the band reaches to all working class heroes out there. ‘Reckoning’ is in-your-face rock tune, brimming with heavy guitar riffs, penetrating vocals and rebellious attitude. Give it a listen!

The band has commented the single: “We wrote ‘Reckoning’ for all working class heroes, a rock’n roll anthem for the people sick and tired of being told what to do and how to be. The frustration of being bound to a situation that you are depending on to live your life, when you really want to live another life than you’re currently living”, and continued about the video: “The video was shot in Oslo in March 2018 by the talented Troll Toftenes, basically starting with the band playing and adding on ideas and settings as we went along, the foundation was always to have a dark atmosphere, but to reflect the band and the song.”

Melodic alt-rock outfit Lummox have just released a brand new single, “Say So”. The track chronicles the thoughts and feelings triggered by the anniversary of a close friend’s passing, and explores the bittersweet moments of remembering those we’ve lost.

Who is Lummox? What lies beneath the cloak? Be it a lone maverick or a crafty collective, Lummox has emerged to capture our hearts. With a sound ranging from active rock to melodic alt-rock, this outfit has come out of the woodwork to move the masses.

Backed by heavily-layered guitars, symphonic synth, and explosive percussions, the cloaked figure delivers soaring, energetic vocals to round out each anthemic track. The music is infused with passion and an urgency to achieve complete sensory domination, all to make us feel like a part of something greater than ourselves.

Although we may never know the face behind the hood, we can safely assume that Lummox has just begun its mission to enthrall and spellbind all who listen. Beneath the cloak lies a mission for larger connection, cunningly aided by its secrecy. After all, a faceless entity just might be someone you already know…

South Australian rockers Indiago have returned with their new single Gusto; a warm blend of ambient guitars and huge sound to deliver a breath of fresh, rocking air.

Off the back of their independent release Loose Change last year, their new trackGusto is a testament to the complexity and diversity of the young band’s songwriting.

After heading back to their Adelaide Hills-based studio, managed by new addition to the band, Matt Cooper, the four young lads have emerged with one of their most uplifting and soulful songs to date.

“We’ve been through a lot of changes over the past twelve months,” says frontman Will Solomon.

“I think this is a perfect example of where we’re at musically, and the song stands as adedication to those who’ve stuck with us.”

The smooth, warm tones of Solomon’s hollow-body guitar open up the song beforediving into a driving bass and drums section by Matt Cooper and Shane Cox. Soulful, delicate vocals cut across the mix, helping to mould the first verse.

After a catchy, pre-chorus vocal lick, the song returns to the opening guitar riff before bounding into a fast-paced second verse and, finally, opening out into a huge, anthemic chorus.

You can discern elements of early Kings Of Leon, alongside the massive sound of Gang Of Youths and Foo Fighters, which comes as no surprise as they’re among some of theband’s biggest influences.

“There’s this idea of someone sticking by your side, regardless of the outcome, free of selfishness, and full of encouragement,” says frontman Solomon.

The song stands as a tribute to the band’s longtime supporters and a testament to what these boys are capable of.

Gusto hits all the right notes as a rocking tune with a heartfelt message that all listeners can relate to.

The Sword know no boundaries. JD Cronise [vocals, guitar], Kyle Shutt [guitar], Bryan Richie [bass], and Santiago Vela III [drums] take their own conception of heavy psychedelic rock beyond the realms of perception. You feel the pounding in your ears and you feel that vibration in your diaphragm, but this is an attack that is wholly joyous and uplifting.

Basking in the glow of the outstanding 5 star reviews for their latest album ‘Used Future’, The Sword bring their sonic journey in from the outer reaches of the galaxy to a city near you.

Inspired by classic rock originators such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, ZZ Top and classic eraMetallica, the Sword have forged their own identity melding buzzsaw guitars, 60’s garage, 70’s psychedelia and a decent dollop of sludge with lyrics exploring mythology, science fiction literature and introspective philosophy. The result is a spellbinding concoction of gut wrenching bliss.

The Sword bring beauty and brutality evocative of rock’s golden age, but with a consciousness and bravura devastatingly shaped by these hammers of the gods for the 21st century and beyond.
