Play To Win features 10 fist pounding shredtacular anthems produced by the band plus mixed and mastered by Hendrik Udd (Firewind, Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Delain).
The album follows their 2017 self-titled full length that the band supported with tours across Europe and North America with Sonata Arctica, Dark Tranquility, and Warbringer along with festival appearances at 70,000 Tons of Metal, Bang Your Head Festival (Germany) and more to add to their almost 1000 shows performed in their decade plus career.
That fifth studio album also garnered them a nomination from Canada’s JUNO awards, the country’s highest music prize, along with wins at the Edmonton Music Awards and Western Canadian Awards.
In support of the release of Play To Win, STRIKER launched a crowd funding campaign via their official website on August 9 – www.striker-metal.com

GRAMMY® award-winning rock band SWITCHFOOT expands on their trademark epic soundscapes and explores new themes and textures on Native Tongue, the group’s 11th full-length album set for release on January 18th, 2019 via Spinefarm/Fantasy Records/Caroline Australia.

PRE-ORDER NATIVE TONGUE HERE

The dynamic music video for the title track written by SWITCHFOOT front man Jon Foreman and bassist Tim Foreman with Brent Kutzle ofOne Republic. The lyrics are a poignant reminder, “Before we learn to hate. Love is our Native Tongue.”

In the midst of an impressive career spanning more than 20 years, Native Tongue is an inspired work of insight and passion from a band that continues to find strength in our differences and hope in what binds us.  The 14-song project, recorded primarily at Melody League Studios in the band’s hometown of San Diego, Calif., includes a wide array of music from the hard-hitting anthemic title-track to more reflective songs such as “Prodigal Soul,” “Joy Invincible,” and “Voices,” (co-written and produced with their friends in One Republic). The band interlace empathy and introspection, urging us to “use our lungs for love and not the shadows.”  Native Tongue also features a moving collaboration with Kaela Sinclair on “The Hardest Art.”

SWITCHFOOT has been unearthing all manner of musical gems since their 1997 debut The Legend of Chin, steadily expanding their global fan base and critical reputation through such releases as New Way to Be Human (1999), Learning to Breathe (2000), the multi-platinum breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown (2003), Nothing Is Sound (2005), Oh! Gravity (2006), the Grammy award-winning Hello Hurricane (2009), Vice Verses (2011), Fading West (2014) and Where The Light Shines Through (2016).  Fading West doubled as the soundtrack to the band’s documentary of the same name. Along the way, SWITCHFOOT established itself as a world-class live act with a series of sold-out world tours, while racking up a string of radio hits, including “Meant to Live,” “Dare You to Move,” “Stars” and “Mess of Me”. Beyond their career achievements, SWITCHFOOT has been active in a variety of philanthropic efforts, raising over two million dollars to aid kids in their community through the band’s own Bro-Am foundation and their annual Bro-Am Beach Fest, a benefit surf contest and concert that’s held every summer in Encinitas, CA. They’ve also maintained a deep commitment to a variety of humanitarian causes, lending their support to such worthy organizations as DATA, the ONE Campaign, Habitat for Humanity, Invisible Children, Food for the Hungry, CURE and To Write Love on Her Arms. SWITCHFOOT’s new album Native Tongue will be released January 18, 2019 on Fantasy Records.

What does Fremantle’s San Cisco have in common with Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino? They’ve both used the same famous rattlesnake to star in their respective new videos.

The film clip for San Cisco’s new break out single ‘When I Dream’ was filmed on location in Joshua Tree, California and directed by Kristofski – known for his work with Die AntwoordPondThe Babe Rainbow and many more. The clip follows frontman Jordi Davieson and Australian model Gabriella Brooks embroiling themselves in mystery, intrigue and danger in the desert. Their aforementioned rattlesnake friend will also appear in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood alongside Brad Pitt & Leonardo Di Caprio.

‘When I Dream’ has proved to be a sweet return for San Cisco. The song has been met with a rapturous response from both fans and critics and was Most Played on triple j. The single has also been a nightly highlight during San Cisco’s live set over the last two months. Tomorrow’s show in Hobart marks the end of the band’s largest Australian tour to date – part of a mammoth co-headline run with Ball Park Music and Ruby Fields.

‘When I Dream’ is the first new piece of music to land from San Cisco since 2017’s ‘The Distance’. The band recently shared a series of photos from the studio teasing more new music could be just around the corner.

AlithiA – Australia’s psych-prog rock prodigies want the world to see their epic 10 minute opus “The Sun”. They are today releasing new single “The Sun” just before their new album “The Moon Has Fallen” this Friday, worldwide through Wild Thing Records.

Singer John Rousvanis said of the final single to be released ahead of the album drop, “The Sun is the first song that announces our second album. A dreamy thunderous landscape that asks the mind to question what is the difference when in both realities and dualities of being asleep in dream state, and conscious in waking life, laced with esoteric, occult meaning and symbolism throughout the lyrics, it’s a personal song for the individual to interpret however they must and feel within it for themselves.”

The album has people talking already, with Overdrive Mag saying that “‘The Moon Has Fallen’ shows Alithia reaching for heights so far above their contemporaries that it’s hard not to be swept away…” and Heavy Mag giving it a perfect 5 stars and saying that AlithiA have delivered “…a style of progressive tunes that has helped cement the six piece into the halls of genre creationism.”

Renowned for their spellbindingly powerful live shows and hypnotizing tribal flavours, this 6-piece progressive rock livewire are set to traverse the globe with ‘The Moon has Fallen’. In sync with their monumental release, AlithiA will tour Europe with Norwegian avant-garde rock specialists Shining as direct support in November 2018.

The Moon has Fallen is AlithiA’s first record written entirely collectively with the inspired addition of percussionist Jeffrey Raul Ortiz Castro interlacing the album’s sound with Latin rhythms, celestial synthesizers, and distinctive secondary vocals. The band’s original foundations, however, remain intact with John Rousvanis’ inspiring lead vocals and mesmerizing guitar styling apparent throughout, none more so than the epic album opener The Sun. From the pulsating engine room of bassist Tibor Gede and drummer Mark ‘Vel’ Vella, shining on highlight track Empress, to the stirring keyboard soundscapes of Danny Costantino, which command the single Diamonds, AlithiA have emerged with a simply exceptional album.

AlithiA’s “The Moon has Fallen” is available for pre-order now at http://smarturl.it/alithia. The record will see its release into the world this Friday – October 26th.

When John Butler strides onto the Sydney Opera House Forecourt for two special shows this February as part of his national tour to celebrate the release of his HOME album, it will be with an ARIA #1 Album award in hand after fighting off Cher and The Living End to take the crown on this week’s chart.

It’s a fitting accolade for Australia’s most successful independent musician to hit #1 for the first time since 2010’s ‘April Uprising’ in a year that has seen Australian independents take more #1 albums than ever before.

As one of the first artists of the modern era to prove that you can build an independent career on your own terms, it is yet another trailblazing moment made even more satisfying by the deeply personal and emotive content of the now-officially-hit album HOME.

“I can’t express how grateful I am to the Australian community of fans that went out and made this album number one,” said John Butler. “With so many massive artists releasing at the moment I really didn’t think we had a chance. I’m just absolutely awe-struck by the love this album is getting and the ever-strengthening relationship I have with my audience after almost two decades. WOW!!! Thank you times a million to all the fans and my amazing team.”

John Butler Trio’s victory lap will happen across January and February with shows across six states and territories, sharing the stage with good friend and fellow legend Missy Higgins, up and coming singer songwriter Stella Donnelly and special guests in each state including The Waifs, Dan Sultan, Baker Boy, The Teskey Brothers and more.

“These shows take on an even greater meaning to celebrate not only a #1 album, but also that my community of friends, fans and supporters have achieved this around an album that celebrates self-reflection, triumphs, anxieties, redemption and the lived experience of being human,” said John Butler. “I can’t wait to join Missy, Stella and our friends around the country to embrace our positivity and humanity.”

The album HOME is available now on CD, vinyl, download and streaming from:  https://JohnButlerTrio.lnk.to/HOMEalbum

Mighty Swedish Stoner force GREENLEAF just released their amazing and amusing music video for „Good Ol`Goat“.

The band on their epic movie:
We wanted to do something funny and entertaining and Peder Bergstand came up with this idea. It’s a very fitting video since it’s packed with dad jokes and some of us recently became fathers. Enjoy the bass!
On November 9th, Hear The Rivers comes into world via Napalm Records.
This album turns out to be quite the mesmerizing bag of tricks that seizes the Swedish Stoner sound and enriches it with so many wonderful things, like the just released unforgettable riff-o-rama „Good Ol`Goat“ or the slow soulfeeder „We Are The Pawns“. An absolute gem of an album that is best kept in the family – which is why former GREENLEAF- and Dozer drummer Karl Daniel Lidén (Craft, Bloodbath, Crippled Black Phoenix amongst others) produced it.
GREENLEAF summarize this record in the following way:
Hear The Rivers is our full length number 7. Lucky number 7? Well, we like to think so! All the songs give us huge smiles on our faces and we are extremely proud of what we have done! As always we try to take our listeners on a trip with our music, make them wanna bang their heads, dance, smile and cry (of happiness of course). This is easily the biggest sounding record we have ever done and we hope people will enjoy it as much as we do!
The full track listing of Hear The Rivers reads as follows:
1. Let It Out!
2. Sweet Is The Sound
3. A Point Of A Secret
4. Good Ol´Goat
5. The Rumble And The Weight
6. We Are The Pawns
7. Oh My Bones
8. In The Caverns Below
9. High Fever
10. The Rivers Lullaby
